What is the benefit of this course?
The National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) changed the format of the National Nursing Licensure Exam (NCLEX) effective April 1, 2023. There are many new item types that are present on the NCLEX to measure the testers clinical judgement.
The clinical judgement model has replaced nursing process as the framework for NCLEX. Nursing faculty need to understand these changes and develop competence in writing next generation items in order for students to have exposure to these item types throughout the nursing program.
This course provides exposure to the changes in NCLEX and features a resources manual that will assist nurse educators in the development of NEXT-GEN style assessments to increase their student's exposure to these item types.
